Golang Job Details

The balance of power in the energy industry needs to change. The intermittency of renewable supply and the constant demands of the grid mean that we still rely on less efficient, more expensive and unsustainable fossil fuels to keep the lights on. At Gridfuse, our mission is to shift this balance through technology. To shift the balance of inputs, so that renewables become the world's main source of electricity. To shift the balance of the grid by building renewable power pools that can balance themselves in the face of unpredictability and intermittency.

It takes a unique team to meet this vision. So, if you're a data geek who sees the big picture, or a software engineer with a passion for a greener world, or simply someone who sees challenges and thinks in solutions, come join us at Gridfuse.

We're a diverse team of pragmatic engineers and energy market specialists, we're based in Leipzig, and we want to change the world of energy with technology.

The role

  • You will join a flat structure company in a team of renewable energy experts, Golang developers and AWS and Kubernetes experts
  • We strive to enable everyone to operate in both the development and the operation domain
  • You will develop microservices and tools to manage and control renewable energy producers to meet power market requirements and stabilize power grids

What you'll bring

  • You have strong backend experience in Golang, Python, Java or any other modern programming language (we are mainly using Go)
  • You have experience in developing cloud-native microservices in highly distributed systems

  • You take responsibility by getting empowered. You not just develop but also deploy and operate your microservices
  • Experience in handling asynchronous IoT communication using messaging via NATs, Kafka, RabbitMQ or MQTT would be a plus

  • You can and like to communicate in English
